![]() They really should be doing $7 workstation backups with 250GB and $35 servers for 1TB and I would jump on it in a heartbeat. NEVER trust someone that says "We have this rule, but we never enforce it." Get it in the contract. I knew what happened to you would happen to me. I had the runaround from Solarwinds on their backup product too, except I didn't bite. Hopefully I'll be able to start replicating to Wasabi in a few months to save on costs for archiving. +Either AWS costs for a backup and replication server or a colo. $23 a TB (less than half the cost of Acronis for that storage) for S3, $4 a workstation agent, $7 a vm. I never factored in the labor costs into my monthly price. But it will take a lot more work than most other solutions to get and keep running. There is no doubt it'll be reliable, flexible, and fairly affordable. I'm in the process of setting up Veeam Cloud Connect with my own colo and AWS S3 storage replication and am second guessing my decision. I have to log into 50 pc's to remove Solarwinds / add Acronis (or other option) which is a pain in the neck, lost revenue. Pricing for Acronis for my usage is fairly inexpensive (50 PC's 5.5TB). I am looking to move to Acronis & figured I would check what others are using. Product seems to work OK but I have not performed any real restores beyond some testing. Sorry for the rant but it is fairly annoying as I still in my first year with Solarwinds and I am unhappy with the service and communication. No my contract states nothing about charges for above 100gb. ![]() Then they called to say they couldnt do that either. ![]() Then I was told that they would double my fair usage from 100gb to 250gb (and 500gb/1tb server). I was then told I would be placed on the 'exempt list' (list of accounts where storage size doesnt matter) - in writing via email -then a verbal call saying they couldnt do that. While I have many emails from my Solarwinds sales rep, client rep, and tech support stating they will never enforce the policy on my account - surprise surprise - they did. I am in the process of leaving because when I signed up they told me not to worry about backup size, then started enforcing a fair usage policy. I have a small MSP & currently have 50 PC's being backed up by Solarwinds.
